The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of injury or death from thousands of types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction. This is the agency where we check for product recalls. |

The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) was signed into law and went into effect in February of 2011. The implementation of the CPSIA has had dramatic changes for the marketplace. Selling recalled products is now unlawful. The law also sets strict limits for lead in paint and for lead content and prohibits three types of phthalates. This law guides many of the reasons we don’t accept some items. |
